Here, we like math—sometimes unreasonably so.
We, at the Math Club of CSUSB, pride ourselves on being a place for people who enjoy solving problems, finding patterns, asking questions, and occasionally drawing diagrams (most of which make sense).
We cordially invite you to come down to the Math Gym on the third floor of the Jack Brown Building and check us out. And if it helps, please know: you don't have to be a math major. You don't have to know what a topology is. You don't even have to like calculus. (We won't tell calculus.)
We happen to be rather optimistic that we can convince you there is a fun side to math—puzzles, games, strange ideas, beautiful proofs, terrible jokes, and wonderfully unnecessary questions that don't always fit into a homework assignment.
Sometimes we'll have speakers. Sometimes we'll tackle interesting mathematics. Sometimes we'll play games and eat snacks, insisting that what we're doing is somehow educational.
Overall, what we're really trying to build is a community for people who are curious, who like thinking about things, and who don't mind getting a little lost in the world of mathematics and all its weird quirks.
So come hang out.
Bring a question. Bring a friend. Bring a proof if you've got one.
You can count on the pack.
